pedorthist has an undergraduate degree in some sort of vaguely related
field (Evan has a Human Kinetics Bachelor of Science) and has
completed a two-year diploma in pedorthics from the University of
Western Ontario or equivalent. Pedorthists are not medical doctors, we
don’t handle prescriptions or medications, we focus on structurally what
is happening to the human body. Similar to a physiotherapist. But rather
than working with exercises or stretching (which are valid treatment
modalities) we typically build things to help people. Typically, custom
foot orthotics or footwear modifications.

I’ve spent the past 35 years working with children, adolescents, and adults, guiding them in regulating their bodies and emotions—using breath as the primary tool to calm both body and mind.

Much of my experience has been in the field of education, supporting students with a wide range of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and emotional dysregulation. I’ve also worked closely with educators and staff, helping them find calm and balance in the midst of challenging environments.

Discovering 9D Breathwork has been a transformative journey for me, and I’m deeply inspired to now share this powerful modality with others. I’m ready to help people feel safe in their bodies, unlock their inner strength, and step into the version of themselves they’ve always known they could be.

I grew up in a small town and that meant when you were old enough, everyone worked in Agriculture. I have picked everything from corn to strawberries to rocks. I spent all my high school years working in tobacco, many valuable lessons were learned during those cold fall mornings. I attended Guelph University and studied Psychology and then decided to join the automotive world. I worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Cambridge and Woodstock building doors for ten years with the last five years spent as a Team Member Relations Specialist. When I had my daughter, I thought it was time to leave the corporate world and do something that fulfilled my passion of helping people. I went back to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist. I enjoy working with people of all ages but especially children as well as pre and post natal. My hobbies include travelling, reading, and spending time with my dog and daughter outside in the sunshine.
